Unlocking Creativity #5: How Should Feedback Be Given To The Creative Team?
Insights and Strategies
New week, new article... Here we go..
So grab your coffee and read carefully..
In this article, I will briefly talk about how to give feedback..
Unlocking Creativity #1: Building an Effective Creative Team for Success
Firstly, creative is in very important position within the marketing team. Many investors or CEO’s don’t give importance to or don’t want to invest in creatives. When they do invest, they expect immediate good results. However, this doesn’t happen immediately…
Everyone has a different perspective, and anyone can give feedback. I am okay with that. But, this shouldn’t be seen as a great talent. Artists who are experienced in the industry know where to use certain techniques. This feedback thing is so out of control.. There are so many people overwhelming the artists. I am aware that.
We are talking about an environment where even the CEO gives feedback to the creative team. We need to get over this now.. So trust your Artists!
Unlocking Creativity #2: Essential Skills Every Creative Artist Must Have
So, How Should The Feedback Be?
Of course, we artists can make mistakes (a lot of).. There are things we might not see.. A second opinion is always good.. But if an artist takes the initiative and says, "I think it should be this way" then you need to trust them. Maybe it will bring good results, or maybe you will facilitate learning by allowing mistakes.
My favorite method is definitely "try and fail". Learning from mistakes is the best way to proceed..
So, what criteria do I consider:
Animations should be seamless,
The first 3-5 seconds should be very clear and understandable,
Pay attention to contrast,
The sound level should neither be too high nor too low ( just needs to be done in an optimal)
Those who trust the artists really get good results.. If there is success or failure, it definitely doesn’t depend only on creativity.. It's a team effort. Be a team player.
